The Bobcat Bonanza is a special, focused event or meeting hosted by Cub Scout Pack 6 where new and current Scouting America members complete the requirements needed to earn their Bobcat rank or annual Bobcat Adventure.

What Happens at a Bobcat Bonanza

• Fast-Track Learning: Scouts rotate through quick stations to learn the fundamentals rather than spreading them across multiple weeks.

• Core Values Review: Leaders help kids practice the Scout Oath, Scout Law, and the Cub Scout motto ("Do Your Best").

• Sign and Salute: Children practice and demonstrate the official Cub Scout sign, salute, and handshake while learning what each gesture means.

• Family Safety Check: Parents and guardians sit down with their scouts to review the safety exercises in the youth protection pamphlet How to Protect Your Children From Child Abuse: A Parent's Guide.

• Immediate Recognition: Packs often use the event to quickly award the Bobcat badge so new scouts feel a sense of accomplishment right away.
